Cookies Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage tapcollectgo.com uses, and how to change your choice. Read it with our Privacy Policy. It covers the marketing website only. The TapCollectGo app is not open yet; when it launches, this page will list its sign-in and payment cookies before they are used.
TapCollectGo is currently operated by Dalton Loomis as a sole proprietor. When a company is formed, it will take over this policy and we will post an updated version.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar tools include local storage. We use them only as described below. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third-party advertising cookies.
2. Strictly necessary storage
The website does not set any cookies of its own before you make a choice. Our host, Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps, does not set cookies for visitors to this site. The cookie banner itself sets no cookies. The only necessary item is the record of your cookie choice, kept in local storage:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
ga_consent | Local storage on tapcollectgo.com | Remembers whether you chose Accept or Decline, so we do not ask on every page | 12 months, then we ask again; or until you change it or clear your browser |
3. Analytics (Google Analytics), only after you click Accept
Google Analytics does not load, and sends nothing to Google, until you click Accept on our cookie banner. This applies to every visitor, wherever you are. Before you choose, all four Google Consent Mode signals are set to denied: analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. If you click Accept, only analytics_storage is turned on. The three advertising signals stay denied for everyone, and Google's advertising features are off.
After you click Accept, Google sets these first-party cookies:
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells one visitor from another | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<id> | Keeps session state | Up to 2 years |
Provider: Google LLC, in the United States. Google keeps the analytics event data for 14 months, then deletes it. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
4. Your choice, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
- Accept turns on analytics. Decline keeps it off. Both buttons are equally easy to use, and nothing is pre-selected.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as Decline, do not show the banner, and do not load analytics.
- Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page to change your choice at any time. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops and we remove the Google Analytics cookies we can reach.
- You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. The Google Analytics opt-out add-on is an extra option, not a replacement for Cookie settings.
5. Changes
If we add or change cookies, including when the app launches, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before the change, and ask for your choice again where the law requires it.
